After several tries, I still cannot install Photoshop CS4 on my Windows 7 RC partition (64-bit). Adobe Lightroom installed without any problem, but the Photoshop CS4 installation seems to stall at the same step each and every time (see further below). Besides running the regular Setup.exe (as Administrator), I have tried running it in compatibility mode for Vista SP1 and even XP, to no effect however. One forum user here suggested running it from a DVD, but this doesn't resolve the issue either. Invariably, the installation procedure first shows 'Checking System Profile,' and after clicking the install button, 'Preparing to install,' but after that nothing happens (I waited for up 30 minutes). Free download song one by metallica e. Unlike some other users on this forum, I did not get any error messages. The whole installation procedure just doesn't seem to carry on. Any guidance as to what other steps I could/should take would be greatly appreciated. Luc PS - Other than that, Windows 7 RC is working great! I even installed it on a netbook which has been running without a glitch so far and doesn't seem to be any slower than XP the netbook came with originally (although I must add that the number of applications that I have on the netbook is far more limited than on my desktop). All: I was able to install Photoshop finally, but it required a clean re-install of Windows 7. Initially, I had installed the 32-bit version on a second partition, but later decided to give it a try with the 64-bit version because this will certainly be the version that I'll buy eventually. Now, I installed the 64-bit version over the 32-bit one, which may repeat may have caused some conflicts when installing Photoshop. After deleting the partition and doing a full re-install of Windows 7, Photoshop installed without any problem (as did other programs, for that matter). Hope this helps. Blizzard official world of warcraft installer. I'm currently installing cs4 64 bit on build 7000. I've had no problems yet, though I did run it in compatibility vista mode as an administrator. It told me my machine didn't meet the requirements obviously because i'm not using vista or xp, but other than that it seems fine. I'm on a pavillion dv9925 as well, same series notebook as n3vo, seems to work ok. Hopefully it detects the video card properly. And i agree - I hate having to use both CS3 and CS4 just because CS4 doesn't support kai power tools or pretty much any good plugin. Err, what does System specs have anything to do with Program Incapability? Microsoft just needs to fix this. Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (Service Pack 3 recommended) or Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise with Service Pack 1 (certified for 32-bit Windows XP and 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Vista). Jalankan program Adobe Photoshop CS4 yang telah anda install tersebut, lalu akan diminta untuk mengaktifkan full. ~ But Since your asking anyway, heres what i got on my Lappy: Intel Core 2 Duo, 1.73GHZ, 2.00 RAM, 160GB HD System specs have everything to do with compatibility problems - some due to OS driver and other hardware issues but most (in my experience) due to Adobe programming. Adobe has hardly had a world class track record for bug free software on either Windows or Mac platforms over the past few years. Many Adobe products have had famously fickle installers (and apps for that matter) on every version of Windows since XP. All things being equal, since most people can install both CS3 and CS4 (myself included), the only way a problem can be addressed is with details. My opinion though would be to check with Adobe tech support and the Adobe forums, since this as likely to be an Adobe issue. Swyost, the thing is, back when i had the first Beta, Cs3 worked perfectly. I had no problems, right now, i have the exact same drivers and such. The only difference is now i have the RC and its not working so thats why i think the system specs in this case are not at fault. ~ Im still using Cs4 without any problems but as far as i keep trying, Cs3 refuses to install. It just goes away and nothing i do works. And Yes, i have tried to run it as admin, ive tried changing the permissions on the actual setup itself and such but nothing is working *Crys*. I really need to get my Cs3 installed.:(.
